About This Guide

I, Vafa Soltanova, studied Turkish Language and Literature at Qafqaz University between 2007 and 2012, graduating with honors. Since the year of my graduation, I have actively pursued my professional career. My first workplace was Qafqaz University. Later, I worked in various educational institutions as a Turkish language teacher, and also as a Turkish-Azerbaijani translator in translation centers and companies.

My passion for traveling and discovering new places eventually drew me into tour guiding. For the past five years, alongside teaching, I have been actively working as a tour guide. During this time, I have collaborated with several tourism companies across different countries. I am very satisfied with this work. What makes me love this profession the most is the opportunity to introduce my country more closely to incoming tourists and to attract new visitors to Azerbaijan. Tour guides play an undeniable role in the development of our country’s tourism sector. I feel this responsibility every moment and continuously work on myself.

I am also a writer. I plan to connect this talent with my tour guiding career. In the future, after gaining broader experience as a guide, I would like to write a book based on my tour memories and about the historical and cultural landmarks of Azerbaijan. I hope everything will turn out beautifully.
